On that same sorrowful Saturday, the Indonesian music scene lost one of its rock pioneers. Bambang ‘Trisno’ Sutrisno, the veteran bassist for the iconic alternative rock group PAS Band, passed away at 2:30 PM WIB at Hermina Hospital in Bandung.
The 55-year-old musician had been battling severe health complications, including end-stage renal disease with kidney function dropping to just five percent, requiring regular dialysis. He also suffered a cerebrovascular blockage that necessitated brain surgery.
Sandy, the drummer for PAS Band, revealed that Trisno’s health had steadily declined in recent months. Despite his worsening condition, Trisno was initially reluctant to seek hospital care until his bandmates firmly persuaded him to receive medical treatment.

Born Zainal Abidin, the 76-year-old actor initially suffered stomach pains believed to be standard gastritis. However, medical examinations revealed he had suffered a stroke. He had also long battled severe asthma and heart disease, requiring four separate hospitalizations in recent months.
