There comes a moment in an artist’s journey when they stop chasing perfection and fully embrace chaos as their primary language. That exact turning point birthed SOUNDSYSTEM EVANGELIST, the latest album from multidisciplinary creative Una Eterna—widely recognized for their work across illustration, design, writing, music production, and DJ sets under the moniker unETERNAlly.

Driven by a deep dissatisfaction with earlier works, Una revisited the formative sounds of their childhood, letting wildly different influences collide without genre constraints or traditional rules. The result is an explosive sonic landscape where funkot, breakcore, reggae, dangdut, hardcore, internet music, and pop culture references coexist in the same space.

Recorded and produced entirely in Una’s bedroom, the album features collaborative compositions with Cahya Nugraha and emmcare, alongside custom artwork designed by Una—underscoring a fierce DIY ethos. Rather than chasing a generic, futuristic electronic aesthetic, SOUNDSYSTEM EVANGELIST celebrates the raw power of Indonesian dance music roots as a force that stands strong without needing external validation.

Beneath its sonic experimentation, the record is deeply personal. It is dedicated to Mbah Surip, who first introduced Una to music at age four, while serving as a heartfelt thank-you to the community, collaborators, friends, and Anti Trust Records.

“This album is a tribute to Mbah Surip, who sparked my love for music at four years old, as well as an expression of gratitude to the community, friends, collaborators, and Anti Trust Records who supported me throughout this journey,” Una shared.

Released on July 24, 2026, SOUNDSYSTEM EVANGELIST marks Una Eterna’s debut full-length record with Anti Trust Records, available now on Bandcamp and Subvert.fm.
